The fire that tore through the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York City on March 25, 1911, was the worst workplace disaster in New York until 9/11. Sprinkler systems, fire drills and adequate fire escapes might have prevented the deaths of 146 garment workers (mostly women & teenage girls), but the government refused to pass laws mandating their use in industry. This documentary, made in honor of the 100th anniversary of the fire, tells the story of the fire through descendants of the victims and survivors.
