In his April 2008 interview with Sandy Pfahler, David Houghton briefly surveys his training as a meteorologist and subsequent career from the 1960s to the present. He discusses his early interest in weather, his pursuit of meteorology through college and graduate school, and his research as a generalist. He also outlines the reasons for his coming to Wisconsin, his leadership in the department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, and his advocacy in the community of Dunn. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
