Abstract: In his four August/September 2009 interviews with Bob Lange, Jim Fleming discusses his over-35 years of service to Wisconsin Public Radio from the 1970s to the present. He chronicles growing up the son of Robben Fleming, how drama and music affected his later career, and his college years in radio and New Haven, CT. He detailed the highlights of his career, including Earplay, Chapter-a-Day, Prelude, and To the Best of our Knowledge, and speculated about his concerns for the future of public radio. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
