In his two interviews in May, 2008, E. Arthur Prieve discussed his early life in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and his early undergraduate education at Oshkosh Business College and Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee. After being drafted into the army, he went on to study at UW-Madison with the aid of the GI Bill, getting his first full-time employment at Insurance Company of North America in Philadelphia. Prieve was awarded his D.B.A. from George Washington University in 1966. He talks about his career at UW-Madison, which included the creation of the arts administration program. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Oral History Program
