"The dictatorship of the television in Mexico", which incorporates material from a 1999 documentary on the same subject but with a new treatment, is based on an exhaustive investigation, and critiques with corrosive humour the content of television in Mexico and the powerful figures who determine this content, and who through it help shape a disinformed and conformist society. The film examines the social and political aspects of this shaping of the people by the Mexican elite, aided by television.
