The Special Committee is directed to conduct a recodification of Ch. 55, Stats. The recodification may include a review of court decisions relating to the chapter to determine whether the court decisions should be codified as is or with modifications. The committee should also examine the different interpretations of Ch. 55, Stats., that have arisen over time and determine which practices could be applied statewide and examine areas of Ch. 55 that are unclear or vague and require clarification.
