The Special Committee is directed to study ways to protect the investments of current and future condominium unit owners and ways to facilitate the appropriate development of the condominium form of property ownership. The Special Committee is directed to review all aspects of condominium law, including: the development and establishment of condominiums; the governance of condominium associations, including the establishment of an annual budget and maintenance of reserve funds; the ownership and sale of condominiums; and rental of condominiums. The Special Committee shall also study ways to address concerns of local units of government in which condominiums are located. The Special Committee shall report its recommendations to the Joint Legislative Council by January 1, 2001.
