Clievelandi Vindiciae;, or,, Clieveland's genuine poems, orations, epistles, &c. : Purged from the many false & spurious ones which had usurped his name, and from innumerable errours and corruptions in the true. : To which are added many never printed before. : Published according to the author's own copies
There were apparently three issues of this 1677 edition, all from one setting of type, which differ only in the title page. Cf. Morris, p. 45; Wing C4670 ("For Obadiah Blagrave"); Wing C4671 ("For Robert Harford").
"The epistle dedicatory" is signed on A5 verso "J.L. W.[sic]D." The editors have been identified as John Lake and Samuel Drake.
Some copies of the issue bearing Obadiah Blagrave's name in the imprint have the intials on A5 verso corrected to "J.L. S.D."
With engraved frontispiece portrait of the author reading "Printed for Nat. Brooke at the Angel in Cornhill".
