• Actor Spencer Tracy and Richard W. Peterson, Commander of the submarine Icefish, look at a small mold or model submarine which Tracy holds. The model was presented to Tracy during his visit with officers and crew of the Icefish at the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company shipyards on May 16, 1944. The Icefish had been launched at the shipyards February 20, 1944 and would be commissioned June 10, 1944. The mock-up for the model submarine was made by Andrew M. Houston, an employee of Manitowoc Shipbuilding.
