• Producing agricultural implements as early as 1875, Smalley Manufacturing Company incorporated in 1888 with $100,000 capital by Edmund J. Smalley, Clarence C. Smalley, and Charles F. Smalley. Located at North Sixth and York Streets, the company prospered for many decades. Mrs. C. F. Smalley became company president in 1909. This picture appeared in Manitowoc Illustrated 1891.
