he canon is able, Joyce associates the important names of FIN with the commonest
of words, e.g., Timothy (as in Finnegan, q.q.v.) with "the time," and William

and obstinacy and one's will and testament, but also lust and the organs
of lust. In FIN, "will" interchanges with wail-well-we'll-wall(q.v.), etc.
