limited shooting of quail if and when the crop shall have been 
sufficiently increased to Justif shooting under proper regula- 
 
tions ead without endangering the necessary conservation of one 
 
of New Jersey's most popular game birds. 
 
       he toen counties have been closed to quail for the last 
five y*ars, but the results give little hope of having even 
 
restricted quail hunting in these counties unless an inducement 
 
is given to farmers and spcrtamen to assist in bringing back the 
 
crop by the practice of modern methods of quail mnagement.
