Martyn Bennett of Edinburgh (on Lowland pipes) and Carmen Higgins (on fiddle) play a set of four tunes at the 1986 Auchtermuchty Festival: a slow air, "The Gallowa Hills", followed by two Irish jigs and a pipe reel.
Martyn Bennett (1971-2005) came to be widely admired as a piper, violinist, composer, and producer. His performances can be heard on half a dozen CDs. His untimely death in 2005 was a source of deep regret. He was inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame in 2012. There is a warm tribute to him at https://projects.handsupfortrad.scot/hall-of-fame/martyn-bennett/
Carmen Higgins developed into a highly accomplished fiddle player. Her music can be heard on a 1999 Sleepytime Records CD titled simply 'Carmen Higgins'.
