• OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - T0575; James Jones and Sons ran mines at Catsburg on the Monongahela River. The Dauntless was once cut down in ice at Brownsville, Pennsylvania (about 1878). After she sank circa 1899, the insurance company raised her and put her on the Manchester docks. She had a bad twist in the hull and Jones refused to take her back. The Advance Coal Company bought the machinery for the T.J. Wood. John F. Klein bought the hull, cabin, etc., put the Ella Layman engines on her and brought the towboat Lookout
