PRINCIPLES OF ADVERTISING. I; 2 cr. An introductory course in ad-
vertising including an explanation of its importance in the distribu-
tion of consumers’ goods. Description of the various methods of ad-
vertising and the development of copy and layout of the complete
advertisement are presented. Prerequisite: Junior standing. 8 Tu

ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS. II; 2 cr. Principles and practice of adver-
tising procedure with special reference to national campaigns.
Among topics considered are mail order, farm paper, trade paper,
direct mail, magazine, and newspaper campaigns. Prerequisites:

MERCHANDISING. I; 2 cr. Principles and problems in retail store
management with attention to consumer habits; store organization;
buying, planning, and control; expense distribution; sales promo-
tion; personnel administration; and store operation. Prerequisite:
