INTRODUCTION TO ENGLISH LITERATURE. Yr; 2 cr. This course, the
material in which is not taken up in historical order, is primarily a
course in the appreciation of literature. It is provided especially for
sophomores who are candidates for the general B.A. degree. The re-
quirement in English literature for this degree may be met, however,
either by 4 credits in this course or by 6 credits in course 30. Either
this course or course 30 is a prerequisite for all advanced courses in
English literature. A student who has a semester’s credit in course
80 may not elect either semester of course 33. 9,10, or 11 TT. (First
semester’s work repeated in second semester and second semester’s
