HUMAN ANATOMY, Yr; 12 cr. In this course a thorough training
is offered in the dissection of the human body and in descriptive
human anatomy. Prerequisites: Junior standing, Zoology 1. Lab.
fee $17.50 per semester. Dr. Bardeen, Dr. Sullivan.

TOPOGRAPHICAL ANATOMY. Yr; 2-4 cr. This course is offered in
two forms:—one may either study frozen sections and special prepa-
rations or make a second dissection of the human body. Not more
than two credits can be counted toward thesis. Prerequisite: Anat-
omy 121. Lab. fee $5.00. Dr. Robbins.

NEURAL ANATOMY. II; 4 cr. Dissection of the human brain and
study of the microscopic anatomy of the central nervous system and
sense organs. Prerequisite: Anatomy 110. Lab. fee $10.00.. Dr.
Geist, Dr. Bast.

HISTORICAL SEMINARY. II; 1 cr. Dr. Miller.

RESEARCH. *cr. To qualified students the department is prepared
to offer problems for investigation and training in methods of re-
search. Special arrangements for this work may be made with the
individual members of the staff. The department also welcomes in-
dependent investigators who wish to make use of its facilities for
conducting research in anatomy. Lab. fee $5.00.

HYGIENE

In conjunction with the staffs of the State Laboratory of Hygiene, the

Wisconsin Psychiatric Institute, the State Board of Health, and the Boards
of Health of the cities of Milwaukee and Madison, courses in hygiene are
offered by members of the Faculty of the Medical School under the general
supervision of Dr. Stovall.

DISEASE PREVENTION. II; 2 cr. The more important aspects of per-
sonal and public hygiene; designed especially for students who de-
sire a knowledge of how to promote their own health and that of the
community. Dr. Clark.

PusLic HEALTH. I; 2 er. Lectures and field work for medical stu-
dents. Given in conjunction with Bacteriology 102. Prerequisite:
Second-year medical standing. Dr. Clark, Dr. Harper, Dr. Stovall.

BACTERIOLOGY FOR HEALTH OFFICERS. I; 4 er. Given in conjunction
with medical bacteriology but with special work in the State Labora-
tory of Hygiene and some special lectures. Lab. fee $15.00. Dr.
Clark, Dr. Stovall.

PHYSIOLOGY FOR HEALTH OFFICERS. II; 5 er. Given in conjunction
with Physiology 105 and 107 but with special reference to the needs
of health officers. Special topics in respiration, dietetics, chemistry
of food, air, water, sewage, etc. Dr. Eyster, Dr. Dawson.

PRACTICAL FIELD Work. I, II; 1 cr. Prerequisite: Fourth-year
medical standing.
