SUMMER SESSION FEES
INCLUDING TUITION, INCIDENTAL, AND INFIRMARY (BUT NOT LABORATORY) FEES

The same fees are charged to both residents and non-residents of Wis-
consin.

I. For undergraduates and graduates in all colleges and schools, except the
Graduate School, the basic rate is $4.50 per week plus special fee
of $2.00 for the Infirmary and $1.50 for the Union.

II. For graduates admitted to registration in the Graduate School, the rate
is $5.00 per week plus Infirmary and Union fees

Pre- and Post-Session Fees

Undergraduate: $4.50 per week. If registrant was not in Summer Ses-
sion, $8 for first week and $4.50 for each succeeding week.

Graduate: $5 per week. If registrant was not in Summer Session, $8.50
for first week, and $5 for each succeeding week.

FEES FOR RESEARCH STUDENTS NOT EARNING CREDIT

Graduate students engaged in independent research and not earning
credit in any form shall register in the Summer Session, paying a fee of $5,
plus laboratory or library fees as their work may necessitate.

Graduate students pursuing no courses but who are candidates for an
oral examination during the session, may register after the third week of
the session for a fee of $10, but may earn no credit.

Refunds for the six-week session are authorized as follows: if the
student withdraws between opening day and first Friday, 80%; between
first Saturday and second Wednesday, 60%; between second Thursday and
third Monday, 40%; between third Tuesday and third Saturday, 20%;
after the third Saturday, no refund.

OTHER EXPENSES. In courses involving laboratory work, additional
fees are charged; these correspond closely to the laboratory fees charged
for the same courses taken during the academic year. Other expenses for
the six-week session may be estimated from the following: room-rent, $15—
$30; board, $40-$55; books and classroom materials, $8-$15; incidental ex-
penses, including laundry, $16—-$60; total, not including fees or traveling
expenses, $78-$160.
