  The Council on Veterans Programs studies and presents policy alternatives
and recommenda-
tions to the Board of Veterans Affairs. It is comprised of representatives
appointed for one-year
terms by organizations that have a direct interest in veterans' affairs.
The council was created
by Chapter 443, Laws of 1943, and its composition and duties are prescribed
in Sections 15.497
and 45.35 (3d) of the statutes.
