Size 7-1/2 boots with black leather over the vamp and 2" along the sides. They have a military green center and upper, side opening with fourteen eyelets, and black round buttons with a 1-1/2” black stacked wood heel. The right shoe lining has an oval stamp in gold that reads, "Hamilton Brown Makers Shoe Co." and "American Girl Special." The logo is stamped on the bottom of the sole of each shoe and reads, "Boot and Shoe Workers Union, Union Stamp, Factory No. 4. in Columbia, Missouri." Manufactured after 1907 when Hamilton Brown began manufacturing shoes.
