Pale teal leather bag with scenes of Japan painted in black on both sides. The bag has a round, flip-up top framed with nickel plate and decorated with a series of chrysanthemums, the imperial seal of Japan. Mt. Fuji is drawn in the center of the flip-up top. The scene on the back includes Japanese skiffs. At the bottom of the bag there are green glass beads with narrow corded threads hanging down. This oval-shaped bag with a wide bottom measures 8" x 6" at the center with a leather back strap. It might have been designed for tourists and probably dates before WWII.
