The meaning of the seals are told in the legends, history and customs of the Nyaheun living on the eastern half of the Boloven Plateau. The legends about the seals and palm leaf inscriptions seen in this digital collection were told to Bill Sage in 1971 by Mr. Vong, who at that time was the guardian of the inscriptions and responsible for keeping them and the seals to pass along to the next guardian of the ethnic group. To learn more, request a copy of the history as orally told to Sage. Contact ASU, the William W. Sage Collection on Laos, MSS-281 Box 9, Folder 5
