• Samuel H. Luchsinger, 1878-1966, was a cigar maker in New Glarus, but the sign reading "Factory No 22" was a joke. His cigar-making business was first located in a small building in the 100 block of Second Street and later moved to Fifth Avenue near Railroad Street. Before he began manufacturing cigars, he was a professional photographer in the area.
