OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - 0860; A Civil War gunboat built by James B. Eads. Captain Richard M. Wade, Captain William R. Hoel, Captain Dan Weaver and others figured prominently in her Civil War service. She was part of the fleet under Admiral Foote that captured Fort Henry and Fort Donelson and she assisted in the capture of Island Number 10. She was part of the fleet under Davis at the battle of Memphis on June 6, 1862. After being sold for scrap in 1865, her hull became the wharf boat at Gallipolis, Ohio and her engines went on the towboat Quaker in 1867
