Summary: The Pyramid of Zozer (Djoser) is the earliest of all pyramids and the first great monument made of hewn stone. It is part of a vast necropolis of religious and funerary monuments built between the 27th Century B.C. and the 10th Century A.D. and lies about 15 miles south of the famous Pyramids of Giza.
