Dear Aldo:
Mr. Couch advises me that in recent years you
have been conducting a comparative study on the status
of the Woodcock on some area in Wisconsin. If this
is correct and you are willing to let us have a sul-
mary of the information obtained, it would be most
useful in rounding out the picture of this species.
We have such material from Pennsylvania, Maine, and
the Maritime Provinces so something from the western
part of the range would be fine.
As we are now working on proposed changes in
the Migratory Bird Treaty Act regulations, we wil
need this information in the very near future.
With best regards, I am
Sincerely yours,
