My dear Buss:-
I trust you will pardon the delay in replying
to your letter of February 27. It is quite true I have
been extremely hampered in my banding And shooting preserve
report activities this year. However, I am working every
evening now and with the help of my wife expect to have the
reports whipped into fair shape within the next few weeks.
Will this be soon enough to get into your paper on the
subject? Please let me know. I would be glad to send my
notes and original rough outline of the work but I am
afraid that either you or anyone else would have a tough
job working them up.
I think I have obtained some interesting data
this last year regarding the activities of birds liberated
from the premises where raised from a chick versus strange
birds liberated on the same ground, etc. If the release
records will be of any use to you, I can send them as they
are in fair shape, but as for the returns, we have them
worked up in pencil manuscript and almost ready to type so
I think I had better finish the job.
I certainly appreciate your kindness in offering
to do this work for me and assure you that some time in the
future I will be glad to accept your kind offer.
I have moved to 2911 South Wentworth Avenue.
Most sincerely,
I. J. Perkins.
