An Akha girl carries a load of thatch roofing made of palm fronds. It is used on the village houses in Phate (PC 4793), and also sold to villagers in Muang Meung (LS-93, PC 5292) or other villages in the area where thatch roofing is purchased. Note the apparatus used for carrying the heavy load of thatch.
