Summary

• The front of this dish is coated with a white engobe and decorated with purple-black and reddish-orange slip. The cavetto motif relates to another dish with a black ground, but the white example is by a different potter and is probably later in date. This white dish may be an early example by Solomon Loy or one of his predecessors in the St. Asaph’s tradition.
