8 But scornful men have coldly said 
Thy love was leading me from God;

The very path my Saviour trod. 
4 They know but little of thy worth 
Who speak the-e heartless words to me; 
For what did Jesus love on earth 
One half so tenderly as thee ? 
5 Get me the grace to love thee more; 
Jesus will give if thou wilt plead; 
And, Mother! when life&#39;s cares are o&#39;er, 
Oh I shall love thee then indeed I 
6 Jesus, when His three hours were run, 
Beqpeath&#39;d thee from the cross to me; 
How can I rightly love thy Son, 
Sweet Mother I if I love not thee ?

1 Now let the earth with joy resound, 
And highest Heaven re-echo round; 
Nor Heaven nor earth too high can raise 
The great Apostle&#39;s glorious praise. 
 
2 0 ye who, throned in glory dread, 
Shall judge the living and the dead! 
Lights of the world forevermore! 
To you the suppliant prayer we pour. 
 
3 Ye close the sacred gates on high; 
At your command apart they fly: 
Oh! loose us from the guilty chain 
We strive to break, and strive in vain. 
 
4 Sickness and health your voice obey; 
At your command they go or stay ; 
Oh, then from sin our souls restore ; 
Increase our virtues more and more. 
 
5 So when the world is at its end, 
And Christ to Judgment shall descend, 
May we be eall&#39;d those joys to see, 
Prepared from all eternity. 
 
6 Praise to the Father, with the Son, 
And Holy Spirit, Three in One; 
As ever was in ages past,
