• Altar cloth with crochet lace, Clara Thorson, Town of Springdale, Dane County, 1918. This white linen cloth is edged on one long side with a 9" wide strip of crocheted lace in a cross and chalice pattern.
• According to the records of the Mount Horeb Area Historical Society, Clara Thorson made this cloth for use in the Springdale Lutheran Church, Dane County, Wisconsin. According to an accompanying note, the total cost of materials was $3.94: $1.50 for the crochet thread and 3 ¼ yards of linen at $0.75/yard. The cloth was used at the Springdale Lutheran Church until the late 1970s, when another local woman, Alma Skindrud, created a copy for church use and the original textile was presented to the Society. Clara Thorson appears in the 1930 federal census as a 40-year-old resident of Mount Horeb, living with her parents, Thomas (Thor) and Rachel (Ragnhild) Thorson.
