Owned by the Mississippi Valley Transportation Company, she towed grain from St. Louis to New Orleans, with Captain William Goll, master. William Cory, later U. S. Boiler Inspector at St. Louis, made 100 round trips on her as engineer. In July, 1896, she cleared St. Louis with six loaded grain barges totalling 12,000 tons, a record in the company's existence. She was dismantled in 1887
