NG113, Figures under Arches

  • Fragment of a frieze bordered at the bottom by a plain fillet and at the top by a row of bordered ogival upright leaf and dart. The arches are rounded on the interior and carinated on the outside. Pendants with a cross hatch design hang from either side. Naked amorini stand under the arches against a simple patterned background. One Gandhāran-Persepolitan column separates the arches. There is a tenon at bottom of the stone.
