Across the street from the Rosenheimer store, the John Rosenheimer barn burned to the ground with 60 tons of hay and 600 bushels of oats. The roof of the Rosenheimer's store started to burn as well but was put out. Nearby residences of John Kramer and John Miller were saved along with the machine shop of William Langenecker. A good portion of Schleisingerville would have been wiped out had the firemen not been successful putting the fire out. The barn was 38' x 90' and was erected in 1901. The origin of the fire is unknown. The loss estimate was $4,000.00 and was covered by insurance.
