Hmong (Meo) and Inspector of Education with map

  • The Lao Inspector of Education from Luang Prabang Province and Shue Long Vang (Swm Looj Vaj), an interpreter (wearing a khaki shirt), show White Hmong villagers in Kiu Katiam the first school map of Laos in the Lao Language. This map was produced by the U.S. Information Service (USIS). Shue Long Vang (Swm Looj Vaj) died in St.Paul, Minnesota in 2006.
