  • Gilded and painted wooden squatting baboon with inlaid eyes and wearing an amulet around its neck. This represents the baboon as one of the manifestations of the God Thoth. Roman period, c. 30 B.C. from Akhmin, Egypt.
  • Original from Lakshmama Temple, Khajuraho, Central India Chamdella Period 10th Century.
