The quadripartite vaulting of the retrochoir and the chapel arch rest on Purbeck marble piers with attached shafts, annulets and stiff-leaf capitals. The wall blind arcade has trefoiled arches with elongated quatrefoils in the spandrels and raised quatrefoils above the string course. The northeast chapel of the retrochoir has an early 13th C painted ceiling restored 1959/60.
