  • Tissue view of the Escalier d'honneur (Stair of Honor) in the Château de Saint-Cloud. Photo taken from the top. The lamps are shrouded, indicating the court was not in residence. Particularly good tinting. Note the painting over the stairs: Napoléon III and Eugenie receiving Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Stereoview title printed on front. Inscription on back with purchaser's name (M. Crosfield) and date, Oct. 20, [18]59. The number "98" is printed on the label, indicating this is part of a set.
