  History: Chapter 75, Laws of 1967, created the Department of Regulation
and Licensing and
attached to it 14 separate examining boards that regulate certain professions.
The department
now provides centralized administrative services to 16 boards.
  The reorganization act also transferred to the department some direct licensing
and registra-
tion functions, including those for private detectives and detective agencies,
charitable organiza-
tions, and professional fund-raisers and solicitors. Between 1967 and 1979,
several new boards
