    GLENN H. JAMES (Rep.) was born at Montfort on April 19, 1890.
He attended the public schools and was graduated from the Montfort High
School in 1906. He has farmed all his life and has resided on the same
farm  since 1912.  Mr. James was clerk of the rural school board for
eighteen years, a member of the town board for eight years, and chair-
man of the town of Eden for four years prior to his election to the

    JOHN P. VARDA      (Prog.) was born at Hurley on October 2, 1916.
After his graduation from high school he attended the University of Wis-
consin where he was graduated from the law school with the degree of
LL.B. in 1940. Since 1940 he has been a practicing attorney in Eagle
River. This is his first term in the assembly. Home Address. Hurley.








     OSWALD H. JOHNSON (Rep.), son of the late Hans A. and Bertilde
Johnson, was born at Black River Falls on January 16, 1912. He is a
graduate of Black River Falls High School and received the degree of
PhoB° from Carroll College in 1937. He worked for Wadham's Oil Company
as an oil station attendant and branch clerk for two years following his
graduation from high school.   Mr. Johnson owns and operates a general
insurance agency in Black River Falls. He is a member of the city council
of Black River Falls and was elected to the assembly in 1940. Home
