Distrist of the Forest Service has arrived at and is now 
adhering to the following rules of praotice in stocking 
trout waters in the National Forests of Arizona and New 
Mexio04 
RULE FOR STOC=ING PRACTICE 
1. Nature, in Stocking trout waters, wtioks to 
ne species. The Forest Service will do likewise where 
m      has not already occurrel. 
2. Empty waters will be stocked with the species 
that ees most suitable. Where there is danger of de- 
pletion throuh heavy fishing, avoid rainbows, Where there 
is        of the water being to warm, avoid natives and 
eastern brook. Where a lake is large or mud-bo ttoed or 
warm or otherwise liable to produce large logy non-rising 
fish, avoid natives. 
3, Sto ked waters will not be further mixed. 
Restoc with the best adapted species, natives always pre- 
ferred.
