  • A Yellow Lahu (Lahu Shi) mother holds her infant in the village of Nam Khan (LS-357, QC 0289) in Houa Khong Province. She wears a towel on her head to protect her hair from dust and sunshine. Her blouse is decorated with silver coins, strings of white seeds and bands of colorful pieces of cloth bordering the blouse with a narrow strip around the sleeve. She also has large, square, silver fasteners on the neck of her blouse. Her child is wearing a cap that is highly decorated with silver trinkets.
