The second edition French score carries the signature of Emma Abbott. The vocal part is manuscript, in English, and carries the stamp of Emma Abbott, 1879-80, Grand English Opera Co. It is for the role of Paul and includes piano accompaniment. The promptbooks are in English and include two manuscript books, one incomplete typescript book, and one book consisting of the printed libretto, published by the Theatre Ticket Office, New York (1879), cut and pasted into a ledger. It includes extensive annotations and ornate scene plots as well as a playbill pasted in for a performance by Emma Abbott and the Hess Grand Opera Co., Feb. 7th, 1879, at the Ladies' Theatre of New Orleans.
