Eight Lea Stein pins. The collection includes a number of popular Stein designs, including Gomina the sleeping cat in white, the cat and ball, the brown Bacchus cat head, the pink and brown fox, Corolle the Deco Lady, and two lions, one with a black body and one with a red body. Stein was a French artist; she and her chemist husband developed a process of layering very thin sheets of cellulose acetate and laminating them to create multicolored pieces of plastic. The pins have a v-shaped metal clasp inscribed with "Lea Stein Paris," which were heat mounted into the plastic. This method of attaching the pins suggest they were among her early brooches.
