     The enclosed letter from the Spesker of the Vermont House 
is the climax of my two v.onth's natient search of the State for 
leadership of a cemnaign against the Green "ountain s~yline park- 
way, which comes to a nooular vote early in March. I have writ- 
ten from one to a dozen or more letters a day, arousing state- 
wide interest but no action. 
 
     The refusal of the Green )ountain Club at its annxual ueeting 
i  early January to take any 'ormal acti n against the vrcject 
se red to paralyze conservationists throughout the state. For w ks
