Date: 1950-1959
Summary: Two compartment, molded acetate purse made of pearlized wood grain with a matching handle. The top tray has a curved “S”-shape closure and the bottom tray has a push-in clasp similar to a brass suitcase-type latch. Purse is stamped "Ascot, N.Y.C, U.S.A." An advertisement in the March 1955 issue of Handbags & Accessories pictures the purse as style No.140. Purse measures 4-1/2" x 7" x 4".
