  • OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - 4485; Eagle Packet Company, St. Louis, bought the Mary S. Blees in 1917, changed her name to Piasa and ran her as an extra boat. After the 1918 ice had wrecked other company boats, she ran St. Louis- Peoria until replaced by the packet Golden Eagle. She then ran St. Louis-Alton until 1927, the last regular packet in that run. When she retired at St. Louis and was dismantled in 1934, Captain Aubrey Haynes II of Mound City, Illinois, bought parts for souvenirs
