• First National Bank, 208 North Eighth Street, was a leading bank at the turn of the century. It was incorporated in 1865 with $50,000 capital and had C. C. Barnes as president and C. Luling as cashier from 1875 into the 1890's when this photograph was taken. The building was also the site for the American Express Company and the F. G. Smith Piano Company.
