Brillion : History for All

Brillion became a city on April 4th, 1944. Local photographer, Art Neumeyer chronicled Brillion becoming a city in his scrapbook entitled "The birth of a City Brillion." The scrapbook was donated to the library and is the basis of this project. Working with the local Historical Society, other materials of local interest were selected so we can offer the world Brillion: History for all.

This project includes materials about Brillion and its people. From the Civil War history of Benjamin Jackson to the World War 2 history of Win Riemer, we hope to give a glimpse of the effect of war on Brillion. The church histories and records of Faith Methodist Church and St. Mary's Parish show the religious side of the community. R.C. Zorn was a contractor who built many homes in Brillion from 1890-1927. The Brillion Hatchery history and the Zorn Family are included. Other family and personal histories were added.
