- Mathias J. Scholey was the mayor of the city of Kenosha in 1908, 1910, and 1914. During his several terms as mayor, he secured many improvements for Kenosha - a new city hall, more improved streets, sewer and pavement extensions. He secured Bond's Woods and Hasting's Woods for future parks for Kenosha. This picture and much of the above information is taken from the two volume History of Kenosha County by Frank H. Lyman, 1916.
